Our Story
Delaware Veterinary Dental Practice was started by Dr. Stephanie DeMarco, a longtime general practitioner in the state of Delaware. She has been practicing small animal medicine since 2001 and has had a very strong interest in veterinary dentistry for at least 15 years. Dr. DeMarco knows how important veterinary dentistry is and how hard it can be to find quality, affordable care for your pets. She has also been a general practitioner who performed dental procedures and knows that sometimes, there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get every pet seen and cared for.
“It is the mission of DVDP to support small animal veterinary hospitals by providing cost effective and quality veterinary dental care to their patients. We strive to work collaboratively with hospitals to provide a client centered focus on dental health to provide a needed service for all pets in Delaware.”
Dr. DeMarco is very comfortable with all cases of cleanings, extractions, gingival hyperplasia, oral tumor staging, bonding, and advanced periodontal care. Although she is not a boarded veterinary dentist, she collaborates with local veterinary Dental Specialists for cases that require more advanced specialist care. She has worked hard to hand-pick a team that is as excited about dentistry and client care as she is.

Katie Seemans
OFFICE MANAGER
Katie is a Tennessee native who moved to the area around 12 years ago. She spent a semester at the University of Tennessee before transferring to the University of Delaware, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Katie has spent the last 10 years working as a technician in various positions and clinics from General Practice, to ER, surgery, and now a dental practice. At home, Katie has 4 dogs that she loves dearly as well as 8 spirited ducks. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her lab, Daisy, watching horror movies, and spending time with her family.

Jennifer Long
VET TECHNICIAN
Jennifer realized her love for animals at a very young age, and has been working in veterinary medicine since 2016. Jenny has worked in general practice, surgery, emergency services, and with exotics, but has found a true passion for dentistry along the way. She is a compassionate and motivated animal advocate who loves finding ways to help both people and their pets. During her free time, she enjoys paintball, traveling, going to new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family.

Sara Spoltore
MARKETING MANAGER
Sara is currently a student at the University of Delaware studying Hospitality Business Management with a minor in Event Management. She has always had a strong passion for graphic design, publication design, and digital marketing. She combines her academic knowledge with a strong work ethic to deliver innovative strategies that help us stand out. Outside of work, Sara enjoys dancing, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with her friends and family. Her enthusiasm and commitment to DVDP make her an integral part of our team.
